From Islam to Christ
When I saw a flyer for a job tutoring an American lady in the Turkish language, I was excited. A few days later, at the age of 19, I stood at the entrance to Therese’s apartment, staring at a verse from the Bible, cross-stitched and framed right across the door:
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. – Acts 4:12
Oh great! She was a Christian.
It was sad, really. The poor woman had grown up in a country where science and technology were advanced, but she still believed in fairy tales like God and angels. As an enlightened woman, it was my duty to help her see through the darkness of religion.
